Petbarn engaged Solar Energy to conduct a comprehensive energy analysis across all 201 of their stores. The objective was to identify which sites were best suited for sustainability upgrades, with the end goal being tailor reduction strategies for each location.
The aim was to reduce their energy footprint and lower carbon emissions, while also maintaining a strong focus on profitability. Through the analysis, we identified solar as a strong opportunity for a number of store profiles, with the potential to offset between 32% to 39% of Scope 2 emissions. The remaining stores were better suited to benefit from targeted energy efficiency measures.
This data-led approach gave Petbarn the confidence to define a renewable roadmap that aligned with both environmental targets and operational savings.
