About Northlakes Tavern
Northlakes Tavern is situated on the Pacific Highway at Charmhaven on the picturesque NSW central coast. The doors opened in August 2007 and the pub quickly became a favourite local watering hole. Northlakes Tavern features a Bistro, Gold A rated TAB, 24 LCD TV’s and 11 large plasma screens.
The Challenge
Northlakes Tavern made the strategic decision to transition to solar for various reasons, aiming to make a resounding eco-friendly impact and markedly decrease the reliance on traditional energy sources. This shift is poised to result in considerable long-term cost savings.

The Solution
Northlakes Tavern strategically partnered with Solar Energy Enterprises, leveraging our proven expertise in deploying large-scale solar systems. The process kicked off with a comprehensive energy audit, meticulously analysing Northlakes Tavern’s energy consumption patterns, identifying peak usage times, and pinpointing areas for optimisation.
Following this, a tailor-made solar system was meticulously designed to meet the unique needs of the tavern. This included strategic placement of solar panels, considering factors like sunlight exposure and available space.
Panels
The panels selected for the Northlakes Tavern installation were the CS3L-365MS (IEC1000V) 365W Canadian Solar Panel.

Inverter
At Northlakes Tavern, we installed the HUAWEI SUN2000-100kTL-M1 inverter. One of the most versatile smart string inverters on the market, the SUN2000-100kTL-M1 is ideal for commercial applications.
The Huawei SUN2000-100KTL-M1 inverter offers numerous advantages, including overvoltage protection, ten independent MPP trackers and a low noise level thanks to modern active cooling. The maximum efficiency reaches an astonishing 98.8 percent, ensuring a high yield during operation.
